Clerk vacancy
Joining the Parish Council is an interesting, rewarding and valued way to become involved in the local village community. This is a paid position for approximately 5 hours a week, with a combination of working from home and attending meetings in Kenn.
The Parish Council consists of seven members who meet in Kenn Village Hall for 6 scheduled meetings a year. Duties include preparing the agenda and minutes for the meetings and managing the Parish Council's expenditure and income, including bookkeeping, audit and VAT. The Parish Clerk is also responsible for updating the notice boards and adding documents to the Council’s website.
The ideal candidate will have good verbal and written communication skills, be computer literate, be able to oversee the website. Also, can work on their own initiative and have a positive outlook.
Financial management and organisational skills are required; training can be arranged through the local council association.

The current Clerk is leaving the post on the 31 May 2026 but will be available after this date to help with the transition.
